Died at the age of 75 years, born to William Gower and Martha Thomas Gower, graduated high school in San Jose, CA, but had lived in the Bristow area most all her life. A nurse for many years for the late Dr. Robert Tompkins of St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa. A member of the First Free Will Baptist Church and loved fishing, gardening, riding horses and collecting dolls. Survived by one son, Mike Borthick and wife Gayla of Bristow; one daughter, Madeline Borthick of Houston, TX; three sisters, Martha June Fairbanks of Casa Grande, AZ, Marcella Bennett of Cortez, CO and Delores Maxwell of Fontana, CA; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Also surviving are two step brothers, one step sister, Olive, and step mother, Imogene. Services will be Thursday, Sept. 23, 2004 with interment at Beggs Cemetery. Schumacher Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
