Banks Burnette Bowersox
Banks Burnette Bowersox, 67, of Sligo RD 1 (Monroe Township), died at 12:16 a.m. Wednesday at Brookville Hospital.
A retired coal miner, he was a member of South Bethlehem First Church of God.
He was born Nov. 27, 1907 in Fairmount City, Redbank Township, Clarion County, a son of A.D.A. And Nancy R. (Anthony) Bowersox.
His wife, the former Bertha Bowser, died Oct. 2, 1965.
Surviving are two sons, Ronald B. of Oil City and Donald R. of Sligo RD 1; Five daughters; Mrs. Daniel (Lois) Ballentine of Venus RD 1, Mrs. Bruce (Evelyn) Goodman and Mrs. William (Linda) Ansel, both of Sligo RD 1, Mrs. Shirley Wilkinson of Franklin and Mrs. Fred (Altha) Deitrick of Strattanville RD 1; 18 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Also surviving are three brothers; Roy of New Bethlehem RD 2 and Ralph and Ernest. Bowser of New Bethlehem, and two sisters; Mrs. Flora Belle Huffman of Hawthorn and Mrs. Vincent (Irene) Dougherty of Fairmount City RD 1. Two brothers, David and Arthur, and a sister, Mrs. Bertha Radaker, are deceased.
Two sons, Mervin and Leason, are deceased.
BOWERSOX – Friends of Banks Burnette Bowersox, who died Sept. 10, 1975, may call at the Charles D. Alcorn Funeral Home, Hawthorn, from 7 to 9 tonight and until time of service Friday. Service will be conducted at the funeral home at 2 p.m. Friday by the Rev. Mason Traister. Burial will be made in Alcola Cemetery. Arrangements by Alcora.
