Luther Long Apperson was the 9th child of Hartwell Frances Apperson and Mary Frances Burchett Apperson.
At the time he registered for WWI he was a machine hand at Westinghouse Electric and Mfg. Co. He was single but was responsible for his parents.
At the time of his death he was a foreman for a Tobacco company.
He married Susie Moorefield 31 March 1923 in Winston Salem. They were the parents of four children.
1) Wallace Gray Apperson
2) Vernon Apperson
3) Iris Sue Apperson
4) Nancy Apperson.
Cause of death - heart attack.
He was a veteran of WWI.
