SS Falby J. Harris, Photo #3262,
This is the husband of Falby Jane Nix and the son of Rev. Micajah Harris and Mary McClendon. Rev Micajah Harris was a Primative Baptist minister and served at both Mount Moriah in Murphree Valley and Salem in Warrior Valley. I am still searching to prove which Mary McClendon this is but she appears to be the daughter of Samuel McClendon and Fanny Moorman Dumas and the sister of Burrell A. McClendon Sr. Both of the parents are buried at Bethlehem Cemetery, in Gallant . The Cemetery was earlier in StClair County but today is on the Etowah side of the County line. James Franklin was a bit young for the War Between the States, but his older brother George Wasington served in Company F of the 28th Alabama Infantry Regt. with Falby Jane's father, Daniel Nix
James Franklin Harris is the husband of our gg-aunt
