Miss Emma Walker, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Walker, two miles east of Nappanee, died suddenly at 4 o'clock Monday morning, April 27th, following a surgical operation for appendicitis which was performed Saturday. She was in her twenty-fourth year and was to have been married in June to Charley Orn of near Milford. She was a devout member of the U.B. church. She is survived by her parents, three brothers and one sister, Messrs. Sylvester and Frank Walker, of Chicago, George Walker, of Kosciusko county and Mrs. George Wert of Union township. The funeral occurred this afternoon.

WALKER - Miss Emma Walker, aged 23 years and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Walker, living two miles northeast of Nappanee, died this morning after having undergone an operation for appendicitis. The deceased had been ailing for two months and was finally operated on for appendicitis by Dr. Fleming, of Elkhart. Funeral services will be held Thursday at the U.B. church, Rev. Albright officiating. Interment will be made at South Union cemetery.
