Milo helped form and was active in Royal Dunham Post No.177, Bedford. He compiled histories of Bedford's Civil War Veterans. After his death, his son George continued the project, turning documents over to the Bedford Historical Society in the 1960s.
He died June 24,1919, aged 76 years, at his home, 893 Broadway, Bedford, Ohio.He was buried Thursday June 26, 1919,at 2:30.m.from his late residence.
