John Henry Arendall, Jr. - A native and lifelong resident of Mobile, died Saturday, April 28, 2007. He was a U. S. Army veteran, serving in the Republic of Vietnam in 1968 during the Tet Offensive. Mr. Arendall has been employed with Scott Paper Company since 1971.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Henry Arendall, Sr. Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Carol Arendall; two sons, John Henry (Randi) Arendall, III and Jason H. (Shawn) Arendall, all of Semmes; his mother, Jo Arendall; one sister, Nancy Clark of Semmes; one brother, Joey H. (Cindy) Arendall of Saraland; four grandchildren, John H. "Hotdog" Arendall IV, Bo Arendall, Avery Arendall, and Jason "Jase" H. Arendall, Jr.; his lifelong friends, Steve Pitts and John David Deboise; Anthony Graham, whom he loved as his son; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Radney-Belmany Funeral Home on Friday, May 4, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. Visitation will be Thursday, May 3, 2007 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Springhill Memorial Gardens.
