Donna Arlene Rodgers passed away at Kachina Point Health Care Facility in Sedona, Ariz., Wednesday morning, July 2, 2008, at the age of 82 years. She was born on a farm near Fairmont July 14, 1925, to Gerald and Iva Condon Bickert.
Donna graduated from Exeter High School in 1943. She married Alden Rodgers on April 12, 1944.
The family moved to Castle Rock, Colo., where they operated a successful business for several years. In 1968 they moved to Arizona, eventually locating to the Verde Valley area in 2000.
Donna is preceded in death by her parents, Gerald and Iva Bickert.
She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Alden; daughters, Patricia Meis and husband, Frank; Nancy Rodgers, Mary Webb and husband Darrell, Linda Lombardo and husband, Steve, Catherine Densmore, and Joan Gentile and husband Mike; brother, Jerry Bickert and wife Phyllis; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
Donna's warm smile and sense of humor will be missed by her many friends and family.
Graveside services were held July 8 at the Exeter Cemetery in Exeter.
