Wynona Mae Keel, age 75, of Coweta passed this life on Friday evening, October 12, 2007 at Coweta Manor Nursing Home. Wynona was born on September 17, 1932 in Wagoner County to Roy and Nellie Marie (Harp) Bates.

She received her education in the Lone Star School System. She and Lowell L. Keel were united in marriage on December 17, 1949 in Coweta, OK.

Wynona was a homemaker for most of her life. She was a member of the Sunnyside Baptist Church in Broken Arrow, OK. She was a Charter member since June 1962. Her hobbies included reading, sewing, cooking, gardening, and singing.

Wynona is survived by one son, Sam and his wife, Linda; one daughter, Gladys and her husband, Danny; two sisters, Retha and Pearl; four grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Wynona was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers, and one sister.

Funeral services were at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 16, 2007 at Clearview Baptist Church in Broken Arrow, OK with Rev. Larry McDonald officiating and Rev. Brent White assisting. Committal prayers and interment will follow at Vernon Cemetery in Coweta. Arrangements and services are under the direction of Wright Funeral Home in Coweta. -----------------------------
