Services for L.D. Murray, Sr.,
90, of Camden, Arkansas, were
held at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 9, at
Proctor Funeral Home Chapel in
Camden with Rev. David
Preston officiating.

Interment was in Murray
Cemetery near Laran.

Mr. Murray died Friday, April
7, after a brief illness.

A native of Laran, he had resided
in Camden for 30 years and
was a retired carpenter. He was a
member of Temple Baptist
Church. He was the son of the late
Daniel Crawford and Laura Jane
Green Murray, pioneer family of
Union Parish and was preceded in
death by his wife, Beatrice Jones
Murray.
Suvivors include four sons,
Perry Murray of Clarksville,
Texas, R.C. Murray of El Dorado,
Grandville Murray of Desoto,
Texas and L.D. Murray, Jr. of
Carrolton, Texas, three daughters,
Mrs. Vera Shank of Pine Bluff,
Mrs. Alma Myers of Santee, California,
and Mrs. Lynn Wooten of
St. Augustine, Florida; 15
grandchildren and 20 great-
grandchildren; and a host of other
relatives, many of whom reside in
Union Parish.
