The remains were returned to her home at Chickalah and in the presence of a large concourse of sorrowing relatives and friends were interred in the Dacus Cemetery, the funeral service being conducted by Rev. T. J. Hampton, who a few days later was to follow her to the better world. Mrs. McGuire was born in Gibson Tenn. December 29th, 1850. When but a child she moved to Yell County, where she continued to reside through out her long and useful life. She was united in marriage to T. E.
McGuire, also a native of Tennessee; who preceded her to the other shore eleven years ago. To this happy union seven children were born, six boys and one girl, of which three of the sons survive: Horace McGuire, of Chickalah: Ed McGuire of Stratford, Okla., and Jim McGuire of Holdenville, Okla. Mrs. McGuire was a noble Christian woman, kindly, sympathetic and generous, and throughout the community in which she so long resided was universally loved for her many womanly virtues and splendid Christian character. The world is richer, brighter, better because she lived, and in her death the hearts of all who knew her are bowed down in grief with a knowledge of their irreparable loss. Besides her three sons, Mrs.
McGuire is survived by many other relatives, nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren, to whom our hearts go out in deepest sympathy in their great loss. (WWW.YellCountyObits.org,Post-Dispatch Newspaper, Dardanelle, Arkansas, Obituary was published on Feb 11, 1926)
