He was born Jan. 2, 1920, in Peoria, Ill., to Frederick J. and Elizabeth C. Kraemer Hutt. He married W. Jeane Shipley in Pekin, Ill., on Feb. 7, 1943. She preceded him in death on Oct. 9, 1988.
He also was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
Surviving are his three sons, John F. (Cindy) Hutt II, Patrick J. (Barbara) Hutt and Michael E. Hutt; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one brother, Frederick Fritz (Margaret) Hutt; and one sister, Nancy (Richard) Salzer.
Jack owned and operated F & J Sales for 37 years, retiring in 1988.
He was an avid bowler, belonging to the Greater Peoria Bowling Association, and his team won the 1969 Peoria City Championship.
He was a lifelong member of St. Monica's Catholic Church in East Peoria.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Burial of ashes will be in Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria at a later date.
