Mrs. Minnie VanGennip, 78 yeras old of Advance, died December 14 at the hospital in Chaffee. Mrs. VanGennip, the former Minnie Schrock, was born August 12, 1893 near Marble Hill, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Albert Schrock.
On September 19, 1928 she married Robert A. VanGennip. He died February 12, 1970.
Surviving are two sons, Charlie of Malden, MO; and James of Advance, MO; a brother Oscar Schrock of Lutesville, MO; two sisters, Mrs. Alma Stires of California; and Mrs. Emily Hopkins of Crystal City; and four grandchildren.
Services were Friday at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance, with burial in the Morgan Memorial Park Cemetery.
