Frances LeBard passed away on July 1, 2008 at her home in Sparks, NV. Fran died of congestive heart failure after courageously surviving four different battles with cancer throughout her life. She was born on August 15, 1928 in Camptonville, CA; the daughter of Julius and Erma Cassano.

Despite this, her outlook on life was always positive and she kept a sense of humor and a smile that was with her to the end. She loved people and being around her family, especially her grandchildren.

Fran was born and raised on a ranch in Camptonville, CA. She was the third child of Julius and Erma Cassano. She graduated high school from Marysville High School. She first came to Reno in 1954 where she lived until she moved to Sparks in 1963 until the present.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd LeBard Sr.; son, Michael LeBard; daughter, Michelle LeBard; granddaughter, Shauna LeBard; parents, Julius and Erma Cassano; sister, Carmen Weaver and brother, Bob Cassano.

She is survived by her three sons, George, Lloyd and Ron LeBard; three daughters, Shirley Vollmer, Patty LeBard and Darlene Quist; brothers, Andy and Charles Cassano; her grandchildren, Aaron Vollmer, Ashley Clark, Lisa Bombard Keck, Nathan and Joey Breckel, Ciara, Racquelle, Antone, Cort, Sean, Alan, Ryan, Brianna and Josh LeBard; one great-grand- daughter, Bailey Vollmer; numerous nieces, nephews, and many, many friends.

Memorial services are planned for July 9, 2008 at Holy Cross Catholic Community in Spanish Springs.
