Longstreet Sr. (a 1st cousin of Confederate General James Longstreet) and Mary Ann Lamar Longstreet, sister of famed Mississippi Congressman LQC Lamar Jr. and daughter of Justice Lucious Quintus Cincinattus Lamar Sr. of the Georgia Supreme Court. Her uncle Mirabeau B. Lamar was the second President of the Republic of Texas after having served as Sam Houston's Vice President.
