Richard was employed at the H. B. Reese Candy Company as a packaging analyst for the past 39 years. His life was his family. He enjoyed camping.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Bonnie, are his 3 sons, Derek A. Boyer and his wife, Jennifer of Harrisburg, Jeremy T. Boyer and his wife, Jennifer of Williamstown, NJ, and Mark R. Boyer and his companion, Brittney of Fuquay Varina, NC; 5 grandchildren, Zac and Alex Thomas, Bryce, Kylie and Braden Boyer; a sister, Marie B., wife of Dr. Burke Cunha of Garden City, NY; and 2 nephews, Zachary and Cheston Cunha.
Relatives and friends are invited for a time of viewing on Saturday, July 5, 2008 from 9-11 a.m., at the Rothermel Funeral Home, Inc., 25 W. Pine Street, Palmyra, followed by his funeral service with Kate Smith, Seminarian of the Zion Lutheran Church in Union Deposit officiating, followed by cremation.
