NORFOLK - Robert B. Banks, 64, died Jan 11, 1997, in DePaul Hospital. He was retired from the Navy, EMCM E-9, and was a Mason and member of Fleet Reserve and VFW.
Survivors include his wife, Marjorie M. Banks; 3 sons: James Banks, Richard Banks and Michael Banks, all of California; 3 brothers: Harry Banks and wife Yvonne, William Banks, Terry Banks and wife Beverly, all of Michigan; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
Other survivors include 5 step-sons: Howard Midgette of California, John R. Midgett, Jr. of Colorado, Stephen Midgette and wife Laurie of Pennsylvania, Gary Midgette and wife Kathy of Colorado, and Robin Midgette and wife Jeanie of Hatteras Island, N.C.; a step-daughter, Jenifer Novak of Texas; and 10 step-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be conducted Saturday in United Methodist Church, Hatteras, N.C. Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, is handling arrangements.
