Funeral service for Thomas P. Bailey,80, of 401 Monroe Street, Evansville, was held at 12:05 p.m. Monday, March 6, in the Old Cathedral with Msgr. Leo Conti celebrating the funeral Mass. Burial was in Mt. Calvary Cemetery
Bailey died Friday evening at 5:55 p.m. in St. Mary's Hospital, Evansville. He was a retired barber and former resident of Vincennes, born in Vincennes on Dec 16, 1891, the son of Thomas Bailey and Mary Vachet Bailey. He was a member the Old Cathedral and a veteran of World War I and World War II. Surviving is a son, Thomas R. Bailey of Evansville; a brother Frank Bailey of Warren, Mich.; a sister, Mrs Corrine Connelly of Tulsa, Okla.; and one grandchild.
The Rosary was recited Sunday at 8 p.m. in the Gardner Chapel.
