Alamosa, Colo. resident and Juniper Village resident in Monte Vista, Colo. Virginia Logan Blut, 80, died Jan. 16, 2008 at the San Luis Valley Regional Medical Center in Alamosa.

Virginia was born Dec. 11, 1927 in New York City, NY, the daughter of the late Richard and Ellen (Cockrum) Schneider. She married Sy Blut in Tucson, Ariz. on Dec. 2, 1988, and he preceded her in death in August, 2000. Virginia enjoyed reading the bible, knitting for friends and family, and loved shopping.

She is survived by her children: Carol Logan of Palm Bay, Fla, Ellen (Allan) Cook of Alamosa, Neil (Indira) Logan of Del Ray Beach, Fla, Peter Logan of White Fish Bay, Wis. and Billy (Debi) Logan of Palm Bay, Fla; her sister Ruth Williams of Tucson, Ariz; eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Her parents, her brothers Richard, James and Donald Schneider, her sisters Helen Flower, Dorothy Rector, and Florence Brett all preceded her in death.

At her request cremation was chosen, and private services were held. Rogers Family Mortuary, is in care of the arrangements.
