Betty was the older of two children born to Franklin Parks Cobleigh and Naomi Lola Hoats Cobleigh. She was graduated from the Elmer L Myers High School, Wilkes-Barre, in 1937 with her cousin (my Dad), Glen Thompson Kline.
She married Kenneth Atwood Hoyt on April 27, 1940 at the Salem Evangelical United Brethren Church, Grove Street, Wilkes-Barre. The couple had one daughter, Gloria Jean, who died as an infant, and three sons: Kenneth, Dale, and Wayne.
