WENATCHEE _ Harriett Weedin Thornburg, 98, of Wenatchee, died Wednesday, July 1, 1992, in Parkside Manor Nursing Home.
She was born July 24, 1893, to Robert and Anna (Monroe) Burns at Nebraska. She moved at a young age to Canada where she was educated. She then moved to Seattle where she worked for the Bon Marche as a postmistress.
She married Harry J. Weedin in 1912 at Seattle. Mr. Weedin died in 1960.
She married Harold Thornburg in 1961 at Arizona. They lived at Tacoma and traveled to Arizona during the winter.
She moved to the Wenatchee Valley following the death of her husband in 1982.
Mrs. Thornburg was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include a daughter, Betty Borst of East Wenatchee; two grandchildren, Harold Rash of Chelan and Mrs. Kenneth (Shirley) Dewitz of East Wenatchee; three great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her husbands, three brothers and three sisters.
Arrangements are by Telford's Chapel of the Valley at East Wenatchee. There will be no services at the family's request.
