Eliza Ellen Yoakum's death certificate states that her father was J. J. Yoakum. All my research indicates that her parents were Jesse J. and Zilphia Yoakum.
Jesse J. Yoakum is Findagrave memorial No. 15519486. I have not been able to locate Zilphia Yoakum. She showed up with Jesse in the 1870 census of Bowie County, Texas. Jesse re-married to Rebecca Frances Loftis on 17 Sep 1873. I assume that Zilphia was either divorced or died in the interim. If they divorced, she would be plenty young to re-marry and that would make finding her more complicated. I continue searching, but so far I have come up empty. Thanks for your help.
