Short Bio:
When Joe Allen Schmidt was born on September 27, 1945, in Guadalupe, Texas, his father, Christian, was 45 and his mother, Alvina, was 28. He married on October 1, 1966, in Guadalupe, Texas. He and his wife had two children during their marriage. He died on February 27, 2004, in Seguin, Texas, at the age of 58, during a benefit for Honduras. The benefit was at the Coliseum in Seguin, Texas. While he was walking to his chair he had a massive heart attack. I remember the knock on our door by my aunt (his wife). My dad had answered the door. We had just lost my mom two months prior to his passing. The loss of Uncle Joe was hard on everyone. He was a great man and would do anything and I mean anything for his family!! I don't have a bad memory one of him. He is buried in Eden Cemetery - right below his mom Alvina and she is next to her other son David.
