Robert Eugene Barber was born in San Antonio, Tx. where his father was taking treatments for TB.
After his father died his mother, Doris and brother, Thomas ( my dad) moved to Houston.
He joined the Army right out of high school and served 4 years.
After discharge he came home and went to work of Humble Oil (Exxon-Mobil now). He met his wife, Velma Maxine Watts there. She was a secretary. They got married and she stayed home to take care of their sons, Robert (Robbie) and Thomas.
When he passed on he was still working for Exxon.
