DANVILLE - Angie Marie Buntin Byrum, 84, of the Glenwood Community went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 28, 2008 in Danville Regional Medical Center, where she had been for 6 days. Mrs. Byrum was born on January 27, 1924, in Danville the daughter of the late Aaron N. Buntin and the late Ruby Cash Buntin. She was a graduate of Dan River High School and from the former Memorial Hospital School of Nursing. She retired from The Memorial Hospital as a registered nurse after 27 years of service. She was a member of Glenwood Memorial Baptist Church. She was married to Daniel Joseph Byrum, Jr., who died on May 8, 1982.

She is survived by a daughter Angie Marie Byrum Owens, and husband, Willard R, Owens, of Danville, and two Grandchildren and two Great-Grandchildren. In addition to her parents, and husband, she was predeceased by two brothers, Aaron T. Buntin, and James Buntin.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, July 1, at 2:00 P.M. at Highland Burial Park with the Reverend Averette Witcher and the Reverend Carl Burger. The family will receive friends on Monday, June 30, at Wrenn-Yeatts North Main Chapel from 7-8:30 P.M. Wrenn-Yeatts Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, North Main Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
