The Baldwin organ was presented to the church by Mrs. Oma Townsend of Moran and her sister Mrs. Ima Higgins of Sweetwater, in memory of their father, George W. Elliott. Mr. Mr. Elliott lived in the Moran community for twenty-six years. He was a Texan by birth and remained one by choice, never once going outside of the state in his entire lifetime. He passed away in 1932. He is especially remembered for his interest in young people and his willingness to help those who wanted to get an education.
