Nenian Trimble Steele was the son of Samuel Steele and Jane Trimble Steele. On Feb. 20, 1836, He married Harriet N. Olmstead. Children of this union were Mary Jane Steele, John Wesley Steele, Harriet N. Steele and Nathaniel Steele. Harriet died in 1844 and he married Caroline Mallett in April 1845. This union produced one son, William Norton Steele. Caroline died in May 1846. On Dec. 15, 1847, Nenion married Martha Jane Harris. Children of this union were Clayton Steele, Worth Buntin Steele, Ezra Steele and Greenlee Steele. Nenian practiced medicine in Crawford County and possibly on the riverboats on the Wabash River.
Death was caused by pneumonia.
