Grace Williams was born in Pikesville Kentucky to a coal miner William H Williams and Mary F Damron. She met and married her 1st husband John Metoff abt 1933. John preceded her in death in 1964. They had no children of their own so they raised me during the war then after the war they adopted a boy named Henry Innis.
She was truly a coalminers daughter with all the spit and fire that came with it. You either loved her or you ran from her. She did mellow out as she got older but she was once accosted by a man she knew at a restaurant where she worked. He wouldn't take no for an answer so she drew her pistol and said get... he said awe Gracie you wouldn't shoot me...so she fired a round into the floor between his legs. He never came back...
