CHARLES M. LINKOUS--Forty-nine years old, who died Saturday night at 10:45 o'clock at the home of an uncle, William Linkous of Hamlin, following a paralytic stroke, will be buried in Lincoln Memorial cemetery in Hamlin following the funeral today at 10:30 o'clock in the Methodist Episcopal Church, South, at Hamlin. The Rev. W. A. DeBar and the Rev. Robert Nelson will officiate. He was a son of Giles and Mary (Chambers) Linkous. Mr. Linkous is survived by the widow, Mrs. Irene Linkous; one daughter, Jacqueline Linkous at home; seven sisters, Mrs. Minnie Woodyard and Miss Mayme Linkous of Hamlin, Mrs. Ezra Tabor, Yawkey, W. Va., Mrs. G. W. Staten of Beckley, Mrs. O. L. Eckhart of Man, W. Va., Mrs. C. W. Byrd, Hurricane and Mrs. C. A. Hodge of Huntington; two brothers, Albert and Roscoe Linkous of Hurricane. Mr. Linkous was a member of Mason County Post 111 of the American Legion. Pallbearers will be from the membership of the post. They are Stanford McClure, M. B. Linbille, R. F. Turley, B. R. Osborne, G. H. Summerson, Charles Ashworth, E. E. Wilkerson and Homer Mays. Honorary pallbearers are J. M. Marcum, W. F. Damron, B. M. Vandelinge, Les Thacker, John Sanford, J. C. McGhee, Dial Johnson, Morris Dial, Ernest Browning, Ernest Keaton, Scott Adkins, Harold Brown, Jack Marcum, Lon Lewis, Orbin Isaac, Andrew Adkins, Homer Messinger, Dr. George Walden and Dr. Harold Wagenor.
