Lawrence Raymond Bagley, age 90, a resident of Ceres since 1956, passed away at Vintage Faire Nursing Rehab, Modesto. He was born in Lincoln, Nebraska. He had served in the Coast Guard and was employed as a proofreader for The Modesto Bee for twenty-five years.
He enjoyed fishing, camping, woodworking, and animals.
He will be missed by his wife, Joan Elizabeth Bagley of Ceres; four daughters, Linda Sheikewitz of Tracy, Margaret Boyd of Hayden Lake, Idaho, Meryl Yant of Oakdale, and JoAnna Madsen of Riverbank; eight grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son, Walter Bagley.
Visitation will be held Monday, December 10, from 4:00-8:00 pm, at Salas Brothers Funeral Chapel, Modesto.
Graveside service will be Tuesday, December 11, 1:00pm at Ceres Memorial Park.
