Mrs. Prescott was born February 20, 1919 in Trigg County, Kentucky, to the late Stanton Hooks and Melissia Hudson Hooks. She was a homemaker, and a member of the Cumberland Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Prescott; son, Jerry Prescott; three sisters, Etta White, Marie Outland, and Gail Workman; one brother, James Mason Hooks.
Survivors include two daughters, Judy Travis and husband Larry of Kuttawa, Kentucky, and Marilyn Flood and husband Larry of Murray, Kentucky; three sons, Morris Prescott and wife Linda of Murray, Kentucky, James Prescott and wife Kathleen of Hazel, Kentucky, and Johnny Prescott and wife Janet of Murray, Kentucky; two sisters, Velva Maupin and husband Dave of Murray, Kentucky, and Edna Vance of Murray, Kentucky; one brother, Kelsie Hooks of Murray, Kentucky; also thirteen grandchildren, and twenty two great grandchildren survive.
Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Mathney cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday, June 27, 2016 from 5-8 p.m., at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
