Anna W. Modders was the daughter of Wynand and Dirkje (Koster) Modders, born in Harlingen, Friesland, The Netherlands. Together with her family, she moved to Grand Rapids, Michigan in 1872.
In 1885, she married Henry Wyma (the brother of Minna and Alice who married her brother, Johan Modders) in Moddersville, Missaukee County, Michigan. Henry (and his sisters) was also from The Netherlands.
Henry and Anna had eight children, Dora, Rena, Minnie, Margaret, Ben, William, Alice and Nick.
Anna died October 25, 1943 in Michigan.
