George W. Mosier
George W. Mosier, 58, died at his home on Cora Creek last Friday. Death was due to pneumonia. He had been an invalid for the past 14 years and bedridden and entirely helpless for five or six years past, but was possessed of a most cheerful disposition, which helped to make the burden of his care a light one to his faithful wife.
The funeral was held at the family home Saturday. Interment was made in Pleasant View cemetery.
Mr. Mosier was born in Springville, Indiana. In Jan. 1874, he was married to Martha F. George, who, with one daughter, Mrs. Charles Atkinson of Cora, survive him. He was a member of the Methodist church. He came to Montana with his family 21 years ago and settled on Cora creek, where he had lived since, with the exception of four years when the family resided in Armington. For the past ten years they have made their home on their ranch on Upper Cora creek.
Mr. Mosier was a man of fine character, well informed on the current events of the day, and possessed of a fund of good nature and dry wit that made him a pleasant companion and served to pass the tedious hours of his long invalidism with fortitude given to but few. He had a wide circle of friends who will sympathize deeply with the family in their bereavement.
