Her parents moved to Boone County, Iowa, and lived there for several years before settling in Ida County. She grew to womanhood here, and was married to Milton Anpspach, Dec. 9, 1877.
She was a member of the Methodist Church, the W.C.T.U., a member of the women organization in the Silver Creek church.
The family moved into Ida Grove in 1903. She was especially interested in the essay contests in public schools.
In 1917, they moved to Long Beach, CA. to make their permanent home.
Ella was the mother of 8 children, all born in Ida County. Pearl, the 2nd daughter, preceded her mother in death by 50 years.
The children are Mrs. Gertrude Anderson, Ida Grove; Dr. R. G. Anspach, Colfax; Mrs. Edith Kuhlman, Long Beach; Dr. W. E. Anspach, Chicago; Raymond C. Anspach, Krebs, Ok.; Cuma Ann Hicks, Kadoka, S.D.; Vivian V. Rothrock, Long Beach; 22 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren.
Two sisters, Mrs. R. R. Varner of Ida Grove, and Mrs. Margaret Hagler of South Dakota, survive.
