ALEXANDRIA, VA (Shreveport) Audrey Robinette, the mother of Karen Klingenberger, and widow of James Alva Robinette, Capt. (Ret.) USMC, died Friday, October 15, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. She was 86. She was a former resident of Shreveport, LA. At the time of her death she was living with her daughter, son-in-law, and grandson in Alexandria, VA.

While living in Shreveport and working as a beautician she met James Alva Robinette whom she would later marry.

Audrey spent much of her late life with her family, moving with them from Colorado to Virginia to North Dakota, overseas to Portugal, then to Texas and finally returning to Virginia. She enjoyed reading, spending time with her daughter and grandson, and a good cup of coffee. Audrey also enjoyed hearing about and visiting with her extended family of nephews and nieces throughout the northern Louisiana area. She will be forever loved and never forgotten.

Visitation will be at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, LA on Friday, October 29, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services celebrating Audrey's life will be held at New Ramah Baptist Church in Ashland, LA at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 30, 2010. Interment will follow in Old Ramah Cemetery in Ashland, LA.
