Mrs. Martha E. Dell, a lifelong and highly respected resident of Aitch, died at her home on Sunday night, June 22, 1941, at 11 o'clock. Death followed an illness of two years' duration. A daughter of Harris and Sara (Hendershot) Richardson, she was born in Lincoln Township, Huntingdon County, on December 25, 1870. At the time of death she was aged 70 years, 5 months and 27 days. She was married to Ellsworth Dell, who preceded her in death a number of years ago. Surviving are two sisters, Mrs George Eamigh of Altoona and Mrs Thomas Gosnell of Aitch, and one brother Isaiah Richardson of Marklesburg RD. Mrs Dell was a devout member of the Marklesburg Lutheran Church and was an earnest follower of the Christian ideals. She was a kind, neighborly woman, who had enjoyed the respect and friendship of the entire community. Funeral services will be held in the Marklesburg Lutheran Church on Wednesday morning at 10:30 o'clock (E.S.T.), with the Rev Jerome Guss officiating. Interment will be made in the Old Stone Church Cemetery near Marklesburg, directed by Huff's Funeral Service. Friends are being received at her late home.
