FRANK GUY, 97, of 781 E. Trigg, retired farmer and carpenter, died Sunday at Memphis Veterans Medical Center. Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Brown Baptist Church in Southaven with burial in Phoenix Chapel Cemetery there. Victory Funeral Home has charge. He was a member of Phoenix Chapel AME Church in Southaven. He leaves five daughters, Idella Bridgeforth and Garner L. Lester, both of Memphis, and Edna R. Johnson, Emma L. Robinson and Willie C. Guy Henton, all of Chicago; four sons, Frank Guy Jr. of Southaven, and Rev. Lucious Lee Guy, Elias Guy and Melvin L. Guy, all of Memphis; a brother, Anderson Guy of Memphis, 30 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren and 23 great-great-grandchildren. (Published in The Commercial Appeal, Memphis, TN, on March 5, 1993)
