Marilyn J. Piersall, 58, of Springfield died at 5:05 p.m. Saturday at Memorial Medical Center.
She was born April 9, 1933, in Robinson, the daughter of Ransom and Fern Battershell. She married George Piersall in 1950. Mrs. Piersall was affiliated with the First Assembly Church of God and taught Sunday school there for several years.
Surviving are her husband, George; three sons, Mark of Springfield, Marvin and Gary, both of Chatham; one daughter, Sherry Connelly of Charleston; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one brother, Raymond Battershell of Forest Park; twin sister, Marlene Wilson of Joliet; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be at Boardman-Smith Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. David Houghton and the Rev. Robert Needham officiating. Burial will be in Chatham Memorial Cemetery.
