Antonito, Colo. resident Solidea V. Sisneros, 101, passed away Oct. 15, 2007 in Denver, Colo. Solidea was born March 5, 1906 in San Antonio, Colo. the daughter of Demecio Valdez and Francisquita Gallegos Valdez. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, cooking, baking, traveling, and spending time with her loving family.

Survivors include four daughters Lillian (Tony) Seferra of Post Falls, Idaho, Berlinda (Joe) Duran of Salt Lake City, Utah, Grace (Patrick) Moore of Englewood, Colo. and Theresa Magaña of Denver, Colo; two sons Nester (Eleanor) Sisneros of Denver and Alfonso (Linda) Sisneros of Denver; 25 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, as well as by several nieces, nephews and cousins. Solidea was preceded in death by her parents, husband Clemente Sisneros, two daughters Flora Romero, Frances Archuleta, three sons Valentine, Richard and Demecio Sisneros, and four sisters.

A vigil service with Recitation of the Rosary was held on Thur, Oct. 18, 2007 at 5 pm at Romero Funeral Chapel in Antonito. Another was held on Fri, Oct. 19, 2007 at 7 pm at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Conejos. A funeral service was held on Sat, Oct. 20, 2007 at 11 am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. Interment followed at San Antonio Cemetery in San Antonio. Friends called Thursday and Friday from 1-5 at Romero Funeral Home in Antonio who is in care of the arrangements.
