Mrs. Mary Matilda Houseman, 86, died unexpetedly yesterday at 4:40pm at the King's Daughters Hospital. She was born at Stover's Shop, a daughter of the late Thomas and Sarah Gilkerson. Surviving are a son, Marshall with whom she made her home; two sisters, Mrs. Arlene Hahn and Mrs. Clara Sites; one brother, Hugh Gilkerson; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held Thursday at 3pm in the Union Presbyterian Church and will be conducted by the Rev. Frank L. Goodman, assisted by the Rev. Homer Zigler. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.
