Geraldine M. Averett, 82, of Okmulgee, passed away May 17, 2001 at the Okmulgee Memorial Hospital. She was born in Vintondale, PA April 20, 1918 to Jesse and Mary Jane (Shields) McGuire. She was a long time member of the Church of Christ. Mrs. Averett volunteered many hours as a pink lady at the Okmulgee Memorial Hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents: Jesse and Mary Jane McGuire, three brothers Leonard, Irvin, her twin brother Gerald McGuire and her husband Vergil "Jim" Averett.
