Funeral Saturday

Funeral service for Stanley M. Allman, 81, of Road 450S, will be conducted by the Rev. Clyde Followell at 10 a.m. Saturday at Barkes, Inlow and Weaver Funeral Home on Jonathan Moore Pike. Calling hours will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday and 8:30 a.m. until service time on Saturday. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.

Allman died at 9:35 a.m. Wednesday at his home. He had been in failing health for some time.

Allman retired from Cummins Engine Co. and was a member of Hill Top Pentecostal Church.

Born Nov. 19, 1905, in Jackson County, Allman was the son of Samuel and Ida Mae Leslie Allman. He married Elsie I. Hupp on Aug. 25, 1932, and she survives.

Other survivors include two sons, Ralph Allan of Taylorsville and Orville Allman of Columbus; two daughters, Una Mae Fish of Taylorsville and Violet Elifritz of Columbus, a brother, Henry Allman of Edinburgh; two sisters, Mary Hupp of Orlando, Fla, and Elsie Hashman of Franklin; 15 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
