Funeral Is Held For Mrs. Kidd; Smith Rites Set

ASPERMONT, Aug. 3 -- Funeral for John Wade Smith, 56, Peacock, will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Peacock Baptist Church. He died at 9:30 a.m. Sunday en route to an Aspermont doctor's office after suffering a heart attack.

Funeral for his mother-in-law, Mrs. W. A. Kidd, 72, Aspermont, was held 3 p.m Monday in the Peacock Baptist Church. She died a half an hour after Mr. Smith did upon being notified of his death.

Officiating at Mr. Smith's funeral will be the Rev. W. T. Tee, pastor, assisted by a former pastor, the Rev. R. D. Hill. Burial will be in Aspermont Cemtetery. Rev. Teel also officiated at mrs. Kidd's funeral. Burial was in Oriana Community Cemetery.

Springer Funeral Home of Aspermont is in charge of both services.
