He was a Baptist Minister.
SON OF HERROD BILBREY (1800 NC-1869 TN.?) AND Martha "Patsy"CANNON (1803-1880) ESTIMATED DATES.

Although John's parents are listed as 'BILBREY' John (for whatever reason) went by 'BILBERRY". All but two of John's children (Leondas and Henry)used the spelling 'BILBERRY".

Elizabeth Jane died at the home of her daughter Maggie Peacock (Peacock, TX.) in 1913.

Tall marble stone to the right of Jane Bilberry. Some type of design on stone, but couldn't make it out. He was Elizabeth Jane Walker-Wilson Bilberry's husband. He was the step-father to Margaret Roden Wilson who married to John William Peacock. John William and his brothers were the founders of the nearby town of Peacock, Texas. Their two children together were Leonidas, and Martelia Bilberry.
Jane Bilberry was his third wife. First wife was Margaret Crews (Cruce) Second wife was Vian Willson.

Oriana Cemetery

Location: East of Aspermont, Stonewall, Texas. There are several ways to reach the cemetery.

Note: There are many unreadable, unmarked, or marked by blank sandstone markers here. I did not investigate what might lie underneath the very few bushes in the cemetery. There might possibly be other stones lying underneath. I did look closely, but did not find any other visible stones.

History:

The earliest grave recorded: Infant daughter of W. A. and H. V. Kidd. , born and died June 14, 1898. 103 years ago from when I visited the grave...almost to the day! That is the infant daughter of William Alexander "Alec" and Honor Verain Bilberry KIDD.
