A carpenter,Served in the Seventy-First Infantry, as a private in the War of 1812 in Captain George HULL's Company, Wayne County New York. Are there two Alexanders or two wives? One report on the Family search site says Alexander m, Sarah OR Sally GOODWIN.

MORGAN b. abt 1811 Canada/NY?. She came to LaPorte Co.IN. with her parents, and by 1850 moved to New Durham, La Porte, Indiana. In 1860 they were living in Door Village, LaPorte Co.IN And 1870 and came to Kansas before she died.

Alexander J McCREERY, b: August 7, 1836 in New Durham, LaPorte Co, Indiana M. D., d. October 5, 1899 buried Leavenworth National Cemetery, LEAVENWORTH, KS. Was a farmer, P. O. Wetmore, A. J. McCREERY enlisted in September, 1862, at Holton, Kansas, in the Eleventh Kansas Volunteer Infantry, and served with that regiment throughout the entire war . He had since been a resident of Kansas, however he had eventualy sold his farm in Wetmore Township. One report says Alexander McCREERY, was the father of eight children, of whom three sons served during the rebellion in the Union Army. Six of the eight children were residents of Kansas
