Mrs Dorothy J Wilson, 76, wife of the late Benjamin Wilson, died Sunday morning at 10 o'clock at her home in the Monitor neighborhood, northeast of Springdale, after an illness of several months. Funeral services were held at the home Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, conducted by Rev Norman Drake, Primitive Baptist minister, burial being in the Wilson cemetery near by. Pall bearers were all relatives of the deceased, and were Roy Graham, Claud Graham, Stoney Graham, Jasper Graham, Marion Graham, Ira Graham, Hugh Graham and Urie Graham.
Mrs Wilson was a daughter of Uncle Jimmie Graham, one of the pioneer settlers of this section, her mother being Jane Patton Graham. She was born December 14, 1849, and most of her life was spent in the vicinity where she died. February 1, 1869, she was united in marriage to Benjamin Wilson, the ceremony being performed by Rev John Holcolm, pioneer Primitive Baptist minister. Mr Wilson died in February 1925.
Mrs Wilson is survived by four sons and six daughters. The daughters are Mrs Albert Mayo, Mrs S M Graham, Mrs S M Kendrick, Mrs Ed Ryan, Mrs Oscar Mayo and Mrs Ed Tweedy, all of whom live in or near Springdale except Mrs Tweedy, whose home is in Texas. Mrs Ryan made her home with her mother and aided in caring for her. The sons are Noah Wilson of Monett, and S P Wilson, Louis Wilson and Odie Wilson, who live in or near Springdale. She is survived by one brother, Ben Graham, and two sisters, Mrs Amanda Fritts and Mrs Cynthia Graham, the latter residing at Fayetteville, while Mr Graham and Mrs Fritts reside in this community.
