Parents Dietrick (b 1815 Germany) & Lampe Fischer
Louise, Age 23, and Emma, 11 months, sailed from Bremen, Germany to Port of New York on SS Herman arriving Jul 13, 1867
Louise Schwarze
The late Louise Schwarze, born Fischer, was born in the year 1844 in Bosele, Hanover and there also baptized and confirmed.
In the year 1863 she married Mr. Wilhelm Schwarze on the 11th of June. To this union came 11 children, 2 of which preceded the mother into eternity, namely a small son named Heinrich who died in young childhood and a daughter Emma which as the wife of Mr. August Kufers was taken in the blossom of her years.
Two years after her marriage, therefore in the year 1866, the deceased came to America with her husband, that is to Cook County, Illinois, where Mr. Schwarze worked 3 years as day laborer (hired man) and 6 years as Renter (man of private or independent means). Around the spring of 1874 the family then settled in Douglas Township, Bremer County, where they settled on a farm. Here the deceased shared the work and load of farming with her husband for 33 years and raised their children with the discipline and admonition of the master.
Five years ago the deceased moved here into the town with her husband to spend her last years in peace.
But after she had lived here about 2 years, she had the misfortune to step on a so-called carpet tack: to this accident she attached at first no special meaning, especially since the inflammation and swelling soon left again. But after several months the foot got worse again, especially since she had the diabetes too. At times her condition was better, then worse again. For the last 2 months she had been confined to bed the majority of the time and for the last 3 days she was completely bedridden.
On Monday, the 27th of May, she was finally released from her suffering. Around 4:00 in the morning she could no longer speak, but otherwise was totally conscious: about quarter to 10 she died without noticeable agony.
Her life on this world was 68 years, 3 months and 19 days.
She leaves, outside of her mourning husband, 9 children, namely: Louis, married to Ida Schultz: Karl, married to Ida Buls: Eduard, married to Hedwig Lind: Anna, married to F Hekel: Emilie, married to W Lenius: Louise, married to Pastor Malte: Alwine, married to Louis Pries: Minna, married to Wm Westendorf: and Amanda, married to Johann Prestien. Besides that 28 grandchildren, 2 brothers-in-law, and 4 sisters-in-law, of which one is still in Germany.
Friede ihrer Asche (Rest in Peace).
