Sarah Isabelle, called Isabelle, was the second daughter and fourth of fourteen children born to Jeremiah Washington Beachum (1830-1910) and his first wife Mary Jane Taylor (1836-1882). While her father's family Bible lists her birth date as 29 Dec. 1859, the tombstone & census records suggest she was born in 1858. (Many thanks to Ann Price for the tombstone photograph!)

Sarah Isabelle Beachum married William Martin Wright (1855-1935) around 1876. He was a son of John Pinkney Wright and his wife Thetis Davis. The 1900 census states Isabelle and Martin had 11 children, 8 then living. They had at least 3 children born after 1900, so a total of at least 14, but I don't have that many names.

The children I have for them so far are: Edward Oscar Wright (16 April 1877-23 March 1964), James A. Wright (c. Sept. 1879-?), Cleo Dora Wright (25 Jan. 1884-15 Oct. 1965, m. Walter Bunn Rushing), Glennie Lougenia Wright (25 July 1886-30 May 1972, m. Sidney Marvin Rushing), Lessie W. Wright (27 April 1889-7 Dec 1906), Arthur Jonah Wright (4 Nov. 1891-2 Nov. 1968, m.
