Miss Genevieve Hannan, former music teacher, died in her home in 230 West Fourth st. today at 12:30 a.m. following a seven weeks’ illness.
Miss Hannan was born in Gallipolis, a daughter of Henry and Fredericke Hannan. She came to East Liverpool 35 years ago and was an instructor in music here for many years. She was a member of the St. John’s Lutheran church and of the Needlework society and also was connected with the Symphony club.
She leaves a sister Mrs. Frank Curry of Chicago; a nephew, Vernon Curry of Chicago and a brother-in-law, Forbes Alcock of East Liverpool.
Funeral services will be held in the Martin Funeral home Monday at 2 p.m. in charge of Rev. John F. Kindsvatter, pastor of the St. John’s Lutheran church. Burial will be made in Riverview cemetery.
