Death Claims M. L. Adams

Malcolm L. (Make) Adams 78, of Kibbee, died last Thursday morning in Vidalia hospital, after an illness of six months.
A lifelong resident of Montgomery county, he was the son of the late William Wiley Adams and Mrs. Malisa Peterson Adams, both of Montgomery county. Mr. Adams was a retired merchant and farmer, and was a former railroad agent at Kibbee. He served several terms as commissioner of Montgomery county, and was a member of the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church of Kibbee.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Mary Williamson Blocker Adams; three brothers, Jimmy Adams, Orlando, Fla., C.A. Adams Sr. and Charlie Adams, Vidalia; four stepsons, Hyman Blocker, Kite; Cecil Blocker and T. A. Blocker, Kibbee and Claude(sic) Blocker, Vidalia; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 3:30 p.m. at the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Hugh Harbor, assisted by the Rev. Sidney Odum. Burial was in the Adams Cemetery Kibbee. Pallbearers were Gary Blocker, Hyman Blocker Jr., Bobby Tyson, Bill Durden, Edward Adams, and Rufus Blocker.
Honorary pallbearers were R. A. Perry, J. B. O'Conner, Hilton Memory, Julian Peterson , O.C. Eidson, W.A. Conaway, A.P. Adams, Abbie Williamson, L.C. Underwood, Colin Morris, Dr. O.S. Gross, Willie Braddy, E.R. Allmond, Paul Calhoun, and George Hamilton.
Murchison Funeral Home of Vidalia was in chaarge of arrangements.
The passing of Mr. Adams will be widely mourned by all those who knew him.
